Love Letter is a favorite among board gamers. It is a game of risk, deduction, and luck, that take about 20 minutes and can be play by 2–4 players. The object is to get your love letter into Princess’s hands while keeping other players’ letters away. From a deck with only sixteen cards, each player starts and ends their turn with only one card in hand. On a turn, you draw one card, and play one card, trying to expose others and knock them from the game. Powerful cards lead can to early gains, but make you a target. However, if you rely on weaker cards your chances of success are slim.
Customized Token Development
The standard Love Letter game comes with 13 “tokens of affection” that are represented by small red cubes. These cubes didn’t satisfy Board Game Geek member Roolz. Instead he imagined the tokens of affection as letters the Princess sent in return to her favorite suitor. Desiring to make these envelop tokens elegant he decieded to use a modern envelop look with a heart shaped wax seal. Using the 3D printing firm Shapeways allowed the cost of printing and reproduction to be more reasonable. To ensure the ability for further personalization the tokens can be purchased in numerous base colors and painted as you see fit.
